The Architecture is stunning in Havana, Cuba. At the beginning of the 20th century, Havana was very wealthy and their architecture is influenced by Art Deco, Art Nouveau and eclectic design. Havana has a strong Moorish and Spanish influence, including Italian, Greek and Roman styles. Cuba has not had the resources to keep their buildings looking amazing, and much is in crumbles. Slowly, they are trying to rebuild.
It was interesting to be here, knowing how amazing these buildings once were, but how decrepit they have become. It is also hard to wrap your head around many people living in some of these shabby, concrete piles.
