Transportation

Because trade hasn’t been allowed with Cuba for a long time, they (mostly) only have the cars that were there before trade stopped. There are many American cars from the 50s and some Russian cars from the 50s. Some are in excellent condition. Many are barely hanging in there. The taxi we took one day was a car from Russia. The doorman gently shut the door after I got out, afraid it would come off its hinges! The old American cars were fun to ride in. Some people had some as collectibles. Many were used as taxis. They also had the Coco Taxies which were shaped like a coconut. It was a scooter with a shell and an exhilarating ride.
