Cuba Oct 2015: Art

Cubans love to create art. We visited a few galleries while we were there. We met up and coming artist Choco. His art focused on slavery and african religion. What was interesting about his art, was that he created sculptures out of found objects (like cardboard) and then took his paintings, which he cut up, and covered his sculptures (like a collage). The other artist we visited was Fuster and his home he called, Fusterland. Fuster loved tiles and would cover objects, including his 80 neighbors homes, in tile. His entire home (which is now a gallery) is completely covered in tile and sculptures in tile. He was inspired by Gaudi and Picasso.
